About This Image: Whenever I'm shooting the Aurora Borealis, I'm continually pleasently suprised with some of the unique shapes that are captured after lengthy exposures. Here, an "X" forms. The hill is a bluish-white shad as a faraway vehicle's lights shined brightly on the hill for a split second of the exposure. 30-second exposure at F/2.8, ISO 400. Photographed at -29C on Vee Lake, outside of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
